ASHEVILLE, N.C. – March 10, 2016 – The physicians at Blue Mountain Surgery are hosting an open house and reception welcoming their new colorectal surgeon, Gentry S. Caton, M.D. The event will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at 1 Hospital Drive, Suite 102, Asheville, NC 28801.

Guests are invited to meet Dr. Caton for an evening of mingling and tours of the new facility.

Dr. Gentry Caton, a native of North Carolina, attended the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill for his undergraduate degree. He went on to earn his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. After he received his general surgical training at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Caton underwent additional training in the subspecialty of colon and rectal surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Family experiences with colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease helped focus Dr. Caton’s practice and drive the compassionate care that he strives to provide for all his patients.

“Bringing Dr. Caton on board as a part of the team, combined with our new facility, will further our mission to provide compassionate, high quality and comprehensive surgical care to adults and adolescents in a comforting environment,” said Claudine E.
