Dr. Caton is a North Carolina native, having received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. He completed his general surgery training at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. Prior to forming the Blue Mountain Surgery team with Dr. Claudine Siegert, Dr. Caton underwent subspecialty training for colon and rectal surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
